The Search-This blog is now 1 month old…oh how cute!
“Akismet has protected your site from 256 spam comments.”
I only have 57 comments, that’s 4 to 1 spam. The bad guys are winning!
So all you lurkers, speak up! I know you’re there, I can see you - according to AWStats, we average about 1,000 visitors a day. That’s not bad, but you’re all mute.

What’s your advice for Google SEO?
My site was indexed back in October, but got dropped from the index. I haven’t seen any penalties on my Sitemaps account. Do you know what the deal is?
I’d love to see more google optimization posts. Keep up the good work!

Hey Global Investor,
I’m not sure why Google failed to index your site. The steps I would use to track it down are:
- check your robots.txt file
- check your .htaccess file
- check your code
I noticed you have the meta description tag twice, I don’t think this is your problem, but I still wouldn’t have it there twice.
Here is a link to Google to send them a reinclusion request.
Also, you might want to read Matt Cutts’s article on Filing a reinclusion request.
I too have 3 pages that for whatever reason, Google has not indexed. At this point I am waiting patiently.
If Google does not index them in the next month or so, then I will come up with a new plan.
Hope that helped,
mark

Thanks for pointing out my meta tag error.
I used to have a robots.txt, but delete it and added the tag instead.
I think my .htaccess file is fine. All I added was a preferred domain command to send everyone to the www version.
Today, I check my XHTML markup, that seems to be okay.
And I downloaded lynx and viewed my site in text-only. It looked clean, no major errors.
I’m still clueless. Got plenty of incoming links. at least Yahoo! and MSN love me.
