Hey Peter, both provide sufficient search results, but Lijit provides more. You get stats tracking, very easy, quick stats tracking. Things like:

Total searches (last 7 days): 84
Average searches per day (last 7 days): 12
Average searches per day (ever): 4.01
Total page views (last 7 days): 17409
Average page views per day (last 7 days): 2058.43
Average page views per day (ever): 1800.16

Also:
Top Searches that Brought Readers to Your Blog
Your most popular post
Where your readers are from
Last 25 Searches
Blogs that Include You in their Blogroll
Top Clicked Results

This is really more of a question for Ligit, but I’m here, so I’ll post it here!

Why would one use this instead of the built in WordPress search? I’m not trying to be difficult, I just don’t see the reason.

I was little confused seeing powered by google, now i am cleared reading the comments. Do you know a search tool that works well with your live pages not the google indexed pages or any search engine indexed pages. I want the search function to have its own spider to crawl my pages live and show the result instead of pulling from someone’s index.

@Jack – It will/can pull results from your blogs indexed pages in Google plus just about every social site you belong to, if you want it to. Does that answer your question?
