Firstly, increasing numbers of people are looking for news on the web. Also, online free classifieds are eroding the newspaper classifieds, so all that revenue has gone down. With less money, they can't pay as many reporters to write the news. No wonder journalists are getting nervous! There seem to be two forces at work.
